The Gymnastikhøjskolen in Ollerup welcomes you to a course that combines lectures, presentations and socializing with driving in the Funen landscape on a motorcycle or in an accompanying car.

Cultural treasures and natural gems

Experience Funen at its best when we pull Funen around in the summer weather from the back of the motorcycle. Among estates, castles and manors, we will hear engaging lectures, meet nature, the archipelago, culture and the exciting people who spend their everyday lives taking care of some of our most beautiful, old institutions. We have ordered glorious summer weather, and our accompanying car is of course on its heels with both necessities and assistance ready. All you have to do is bring a good mood, motorcycle and preferably a little curiosity.

We ride along pleasant, winding roads on our motorcycles, among modern companies and ancient cultural institutions, and we talk, have fun and go on day trips, which will be the highlight of the summer. In fact, it is quite common for our guests to come again – for each year is different, the yield is new and the route is different. Funen is really Fine, and so are our many sights.

At school we hear lectures and presentations with different topics, and we sing songs from the Folk High School songbook, which helps to make us curious about both the questions that are up to date and those you have thought about since the window king was a hero young boy.

The course is designed for motorcyclists, and the route is especially suitable for this kind of excursion. If you do not have one available, we will of course arrange transport in our accompanying car.

All tours are guided by our knowledgeable guides with great local knowledge and historical knowledge.

Gymnastikhøjskolen in Ollerup is our base, where we refuel ourselves every morning and evening for the daily experiences and excursions. It sounds a bit high-flying when you talk about the buzz of history, but when you wake up at an old but state-of-the-art folk high school, standing in nature one moment and in a castle the next, you just feel the story.
