International Youth Leader Education

GYMNASTICS, PARKOUR OR DANCE
The course includes tumbling and vaulting, trampoline practice, rhythmical gymnastics, preparation for performances, warm up practice and choreography. You can also choose the danceline.

INTERCULTURAL STUDIES
The subject includes an introduction to Danish history and society, democratic political discussions, international comparison of living conditions in different countries (each represented by a student), current affairs in world politics, a written assignment, visits to institutions, student presentations, event planning and Millennium Development Goals.

LEADERSHIP
Leadership consists of different approaches to coaching and organisational work and includes practical teaching and instruction techniques within gymnastics and ball games. The focus areas of this subject are biomechanics, teaching of special target groups (children, youth, disabled persons, etc.), preparation of workshops, tactical and technical training, team building, and choreography for performances as well as a presentation of a chosen project.

SPORTS
The Academy offers courses in Volleyball, European Football, Olympic Handball, Nature Life and Outdoor Activities and Swimming.

DANISH
During your stay at Ollerup you will receive classes in Danish Language. These classes will introduce you to Danish as we speak it today as well as grammar and pronounciation. The main purpose for you as a learner will be to optain communicative skills that you can use in everyday life situations.

NGO WORLD AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
In NGO World and project management students get an introduction to the world of volunteer organisations, sport associations, Non-Governmental Organisations as well as general knowledge about project work.


OPTIONAL SUBJECTS

The students have the opportunity to choose optional subjects - theoretical as well as practical - within a wide range of areas.
